Retired teacher loses almost RM92,000 to online scammers

KUANTAN: A web-based con bunch conned a resigned educator out of RM91,980 and compromised lawful activity against her for purportedly being engaged with tax evasion.

The 62-year-elderly person, as per Pahang police boss Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf, got an approach Walk 3 from a purported official of the Wellbeing Service in Putrajaya who blamed her for buying a huge amount of prescriptions from a center in Kedah.

From that point forward, the call was directed to a man who professed to be a senior cop and guaranteed that the lady had been engaged with medication and tax evasion.

He said in an explanation on Walk 8: “The casualty gave her financial subtleties as mentioned and in this way made four money moves adding up to RM91,980 to a record given by the suspect.”

He expressed that after the lady acknowledged she had been hoodwinked, she documented a report with the Jerantut locale police base camp.
